On the new TTORA national board they've implemented an RSS feed. It's a cool way of seeing what new threads, not new posts, are being created across the forum without actually having to go there and click around wasting TTORA bandwidth.

Might be something to look into here? Convenient for users and your bandwidth bill since all the user does is grab an XML file to see what's new with their RSS client/plugin.

I'm using one called NewsGator which is a plugin for Microsoft Outlook.
