Hello all. Mark here from Austin,TX.
I'm new to the site and just wanted to say hello. I thought I might suggest a new member forum so us newbs had a good place to start. I had a difficult time initially finding a good place to put this post.
Anyways I love Toyotas and really love the 3rd gen runners. I have 2 of them now! I have in the past had a 89 SR5 auto 4x4, loved it and miss it dearly. I have had 3 Tacomas and now have a 96 4Runner Limited 4x4 that I just picked up. Previous owner ran it hot and popped a head gasket. He let it sit in his driveway for 2 years before I took it off his hands to save it. It needs everything to say the least but I just put a JDM motor in it and is now fully functional.
I have a ton of things I want to do to it so I will be posting in here frequently I hope.

Welcome to YotaTech!

This is a great site to get all of your questions answered!

The best place to start if you have any potentially common problems is posting here in the Newbie Tech section (or better yet search and browse through the forum. There is a ton of information here!):
https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f120/

Or for your year of 4Runners, try here:
https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f2/

One of the site mods might move this thread over to the introductions and new arrivals section if they get the chance.

It actually took me a little searching to find that section so I don't blame you for not finding it.

You said that you will be posting a lot and asking questions. If this is the case, you could start your own build thread in the build-up section to keep track of your progress.

Many of us here like seeing pictures so post those up as well.

Have fun!
