Just use a gif editor to reduce it down to an acceptable size. Go to www.tucows.com and do a search for "gif editor". You can download the software and get your gif edited during the free evaluation period. I cant remember the one I have used in the past...

 

Ressurecting an old thread here... how do I upload animated avatars? It is within the constraints specified for uploading any other image file, but it tells me I can't upload any animated avatars. I swear some of you guys are rocking some though...

 

It seems just admin guys are rocking the animations.
I'm jealous.

I found some nice animations within the filesize limit, but I can't use them because they are animated. Cheesy.
