The black background seems to make my eyes go wacky after I've been on for only a short time. I don't know if anyone else has this problem but it only seems to happen when I come to this forum. Anyone else notice this?

 

hmmm... not me, maybe try adjusting your refresh rate of your monitor, if you are at work, chances are you have flourescent lighting operating at 60hz... if you haven't changed it yet, chances are your monitor is set at 60hz too... make if 70-75 or try available settings. Just right-click on desktop, > properties, > settings, > advanced, > monitor

 

I only use the Extreme with sizable fonts.
I do not care much for the older gray Original format, black is where it is at for me.

Did you try choosing another template?
Look in your lower left corner, and you can also specify it in your Control Panel here.

 

Thanks for the tips. I tried changing the refresh rate and that didn't seem to help much. Now I changed to the original grey skin. That seems a lot better. It must just be me or maybe the specific lighting conditions or some ĊĊĊĊe.
