custom text directly under user name

but above the "contributing member" or "senior member" text.

oh that would be so grand.

say it were allowed, do mods really have to add such text by each member individually? other forums have this forum-wide, and the text is editable in the user cp, steal the code to do this!

i think this came up a little while ago when HaveBlue wanted it to read "Days of Our Lives" under his name and one of the mods said there was no way to do that easily, and that it wouldn't happen.

i know what you're talking about on other forums though, as far as that field being editable in the user control panel ...

You could put a small area of text in your avatar picture, like at the top or bottom.

O well the mods are doing this for free so lets not make any more work than it has to be for them. I understand and it may be a good idea but if you want to do it chances are most of the other people on the board might want to. Thats a lot of work to do.

The current rev of the vBulletin software doesn't allow for it. When you see it on other forums, you're probably looking at the phpBB software which DOES support it.

Right, that's a feature of the phpBB software.
