"AD's by google are pissing me off"

the ad's are vertical leading down right into the thread, so the first 5 lines of every can't be read.

i love this site, but this is getting old, with the google ads and movie ads popping up, even with the pop up blocker.

later,
J

There is a thread about this in Site Feedback. When Corey comes on, I'm sure he'll check into it.

Looks like a technical problem to me not just an ad....I'd like to know what you folks are doing to get this stuff? I've never had any issues with FireFox or IE7 browsing this site; but I read all these complaints & I know they can't all be spyware related or BS, & I see the screen cap above which like I said, seems like a tech glitch more than anything.

yeah thats it, and when you think about it, the most important part about a thread, not that it can't be retyped, but it's a PITA to squint through the google stuff.

and i'm using firefox

I have zero problems with this site with no pop up blockers.

Even earlier in the week with the Circuit City ads (see my explanation why it happened in this section) I saw no rollover over/expanding ads.

All I use at work and at home is Firefox.
Does not matter if a pop up blocker is turned on or off, I do not see these glitches.

This new one that SC4Runner has screen shots of I have sent the info to the advertising department.

It will be rectified when someone there can look into it.

I am on the site 3 or 4 times a day and I never have any viewing problems or irritating ads.

Operator error?

It isn't opperator error. The company that did the ads for IB screwed up some code. We hope to have this issue fixed ASAP. I don;t know the details but I want you to know we went straight to IB about the circuit city issue and now I will bring this up too.

Sorry guys, a PITA but growing pains ya know?

i never had problems until lately, and obviously i'm not the only one, we all understand that "stuff" happens, but the movie ads are worse, and my pop-up blockers aren't working at work (now) or home, with IE or FF. with threads like this one lately, people are having problems and leaving the site.

also not everyone are computer guru's, and getting into the computer setting's can defeat some of us.
