I'm keeping up with it every now and then. Hope I don't miss any pics as they're on 5 min intervals. I like the idea indeed. Looks like y'all are making pretty good progress. Can't wait to see the final results. How far do you think you're going to get today?

It is going quite well at this point. We removed the ARB bumper, then removed every bit of bolted on IFS, including the diff. Then I sparked up the plasma cutter and for about two hours, cut everything remaining to ribbons. Now we are about 80% of the way through the grinding, so look for some welding to begin around noonish PST tomorrow.
The webcam has been a hit. We have received a lot of mail from the site and folks seem to be enjoying the show.

The camera is a really old 3Com "Home Connect" series. It's auto contrast, brightness, etc. But manual focus. The software is a program called "WebCam 3.5" from CoffeeCup. It's pretty simple use and packs a lot of features. It has a web page wizard that will create pages for viewing the webcam images, similar to the ones on my site. It also has a "security" mode where it sleeps until it sees motion in the camera image, then it snaps a sequence of photos or shoots video and saves it to your hard drive
We've been talking about moving the web cam down to knee level. Upside: you will be able to see more of the suspension of the truck and less hood. Downside; the number of gratuitous @ss shots of greasy men in coveralls is likely to increase. Thoughts?

Nope, don't need anymore shots like that.
