Taco Compatibilty

I found a 4x4 95 1/2 Taco at a local yard. Appears to be a 4 cyl auto (engine gone). Can this rear end handle a 2nd Gen's fury? How about the auto. Is this the version with the tcase bolted on? Can I make it work with my 3.0?

Is the rear a 8.25 and not an 8"? Or did that start later?

The rear end should be the bigger one, if the drain plug is on the pass side then its the bigger taco axle, if its on the driver side then its just an 8", it may work in a 2nd gen, but not sure, i think the Tacoma axles are a tad bit wider, about the tranny... well Ive never seen a taco auto so i cant answer this one for ya
