ya know, I had thought about that as well, But decided to stop there. I figure if they are willing to unhook their own start box, to hook to mine, they must really want the rope. They will have to cut the rope as well, as the hook is pad locked to the bumper as well. I mean, shoot, it they really wanted it, they could unbolt the entire bumper, and take the whole thing. Its pretty light. I can lift the whole thing (including the winch) myself and slide it onto the frame rails.

those looked good, i would have waited if i was getting impatient, would have been a better outcome

Indeed, waiting would be better, but events, such as the CO4RJ would not wait.
