Exclamation Need help on hydraulic steering

I have done a lot of reading, but I am not sure if I have done this right. I am hoping someone knows for sure. I have installed a SINJIN hydraulic steering valve. I am using the stock hyd. pump. The steering setup seems to work great. This is my question, the steering valve has 5 ports. The main ports, no problem. I am not sure what to do with the small port on the side of the valve. Right now I have it plumbed into the return, but do not know if this is correct, or if it should be blocked off? I have every thing just jumped in. It gets very hot, I am installing a cooler, a half gallon res. today. And want to make sure I am doing this right. I got the valve from a Clark forklift. Thanks in advance.

Hydraulics are easy but one needs some idea what your working on

Thanks for your reply. I bought the valve, it had already been removed. All I know is it is off a Clark. The brand is a Sinjin. No model #. No manual. The only question I have is what to do with port that is on the side of the valve. It works great as far as steering. Will steer with motor not running. I am afraid to block the side port off if this needs to be open. I think it is suppose to be used for power beyond. Thanks again.
