Marc: no clearance problems anywhere, and no i dont have any bump stops.
Seaflea: it drives very nice, the stiff shocks help alot. i had more body roll and general unstable-ness wiht my IFS then i do with it now. its getting aligned now but even with just eye ball close it drove to work today pretty darn stright. no i dont have the shock towers braced, but i will do something about it once i get to school. school starts in 3 weeks so basicly i needed to get it done, work out the major kinks / qwerks now, make sure it safe and drivale for 600 miles to school and then fix / finish the little things once i get to school. (brace for shock tower, blocks/shcakles for the rear, etc)

also, so far i am actully pretty happy with the 4.56 gears pushing 35s. its a tad slower off the line, but power is good all the way to highway speeds. sitting at 70 (~63 on the spedo) i am turning just below 2800 RPM.. before i wos closer to 3100. we;ll see after i go wheelin this weekend if i still like that high of a gear raio or not.

Did you leave the overload in the back? I agree with wabbit, longer shackle definitely. You could also do a 2" BDS AAL or something similar. Now, WHERE'S THE FLEX?!?!

there was nothing to flex on in the parking lot.. i'm going to swing by an empty used car lot wiht a concrete disply ramp that will work great for an RTi ramp.. if nto there will be flexy pics after wheelin this weekend

looks really good...
one thing i wish I had done with my rear swap was install bump stops.. i fealt the lack of them was limiting articualtiion, but not forcing the opposite wheel down.....
what springs did you use in the rear? 63" chevies right.. I have heard of guys needing 4" blocks to sit level... consider building a hybrid pack with an extra leaf of two...
youll find pretty quick that 35's will reomove that plastic on the leading edge of your rear fender well :-)
cant wait to see wheeling pics

I know a guy that runs that in his tacoma and he got a good amount of lift out of it and he is happy with the way it rides and flexes.
Yeah... the springs I had were custom 56" Alcans... they usually put 1 or 2 5mm leaves on top for P/U, but I had mine made with 4 5mm leaves.. and I still barely got the 4.5" lift I wanted from them....
you need some good springs on the ass of a runner.....

ok i'm back from the weekend trip.. it drove up there perfectly. HOWEVER, i blew the Freaking seal on the radator cap on the first trail... so a $7 cap kept me from wheeling it this weekend. i was able to flex it out a lil and had very minor rubbing. (although driving to work this morning i hear the tire rub on something in the rear going around the cloverleaf on the freeway..) but it shouldnt anything that a 4lb sledge cant fix so i ran 1 trail, and then left it at camp and rode my brothers 80 minibike around... and alot of beer i threw some RVT and it make i seal enough to get me home and to work today. i'll get a new cap at lunch and it should be fine
