i hate the duplicolor stuff. I would like to actually buck up and spend the dough on the herculiner, its on sale at checker for 80(the whole kit) And i wanna do the rockers, floor, sliders, and bed. I have heard that a little can covers one of our beds, but i dont know how accurate that was. What is cool about herculiner is that you can do it yourself and save tons of money and do touchup your self IF it does chip/scratch. other than going back to the dealer. but they most likely have a warranty.

BUT AGAIN you still save tons of money with the herculiner and you can do more for 1/8th of the price.

 

Yeah I need to draw up some sketches of what I want my truck to look like. I wish I could find a solid model or 3d model file of my truck and just play with it. I'm gonna go with the herculiner when I get my roll bar on. O and its definatly getting primed...

What was the price for all that?

 

It was during the slow winter months for them. I paid $650.00 They said it was normally a $900-$1000 dollar job

 

damn thats what i mean, you can get two kits of herculiner, some tape and do all of that for like 200$ plus you can do your interior and bed

 

I herculined the entire bottom of my yota. It hardens into an indestructable shell that has withstood everything I could throw at it. The key is to mask off the area, sand it and wipe it down with acetone before application. It's da bomb

 

I had very bad experience with Herculiner, although I only put one layer down and probably didn't sand it as much as I should. The particles kept pulling apart months later so I had to spray paint on that area to keep the truck's white color from showing. As far as the durability goes, one trip with bikes in the back of my truck on paved roads chipped the Herculiner stuff off all the way to the paint.

It's all getting done right with the Line-X though.

 

The Herculiner in my Toyota has held up pretty well to abuse. No problems with it. The Line-X in my Dodge has also held up to all kinds of abuse.
The only difference (besides price of course...) is that the Line-X it's a bit older and is a lil' more faded. The Line-X is also a lot smoother than the Herculiner. But they both do their job. Personally I'd go with Durabak. I've never heard anything bad about it and the price is reasonable. I've got some to line the interior of my toyota.... whenever I have the time...
