Brand new to the board, so let me apologize if this is in the wrong forum...

That said... I'm about to purchase an 89 4Runner that is in amazing condition... now the 22RE is in great shape with only 150k on the ODO. This brings me to my question.

Having spent 7 months in Australia working on a cattle ranch with a 92 75Series Cruiser, I have come to dearly love the 4.2 TD motor...

So... Can I possibly swap a Toyota Factory Diesel motor into an 89 4Runner?

Is there another Easier Swap to get that great Diesel reliability and power? Small Cummins, another Smaller toy Diesel? I know there are alot of Petrol swaps, bgut frankly, I hate CVhevy motors, and really, with the way gas prices are going here i the states, Bio-Diesel is where I'm looking to go in the next few years.

My 94 4Runner has the 1KZ-T engine (3.0TD) but I think the 4.2TD it's very big... It's 6 cylinders in line...

A HDJ-100 engine will be nice, 4.2 Turbo Diesel Intercooled 204HP...
