Body mounted Sliders?
As I was under my 4runner measuring for my sliders, that I'm going to fab. I noticed the 3 tabs that the running boards probably mount to on the body. Has anyone built/mounted sliders to these tabs?

Not A good idea!!
Reason for sliders is to keep the weight off your body!! keep in mind its only sheet metal!!
You got to remember your rollin' in a Yota not a Heep!!

I know this will blow your mind, but my Rockstomper sliders attach to the pinchweld and the frame in two places.
On the one hand, they essentially negate the function of the bodymounts.
On the other hand, they have been around the southwest on the worst places I could put them and they worked.

you can mount the sliders to the body, just not using a couple of running board tabs. the best way is to cut out the rocker panel and replace it with a peice of rectangular tubing. basically, structurally integrate it into the body, then add a peice of bent round tube to the side for some door protection.
doing it this way gives you a lot more clearance than your typical sliders, but its a lot more work and a lot more permanant.

STOP! STOP! STOP!
Sorry I asked. I knew as soon as I posted the question that it wasn't a good idea. Actualy as soon as I saw them I knew the answer but like a train wreck, I couldn't look the other way.
Lets act like this never happened.
Thanks for humoring me.
