Bobbed Top third Gen

I'm kicking around the idea of el-camino-izing my third gen runner (but keepin it four door), and i had seen someone on here that had already done it. It was similar the one found at www.mudrunner.ca , but this one had lenghtened the C-pillars, and had a real bulkhead built behind the rear seat. I've tried searching, but I can't find it anywhere...anyone seen this thread? Any help is appreciated.

The plan is to do it up like the one on www.mudrunner.ca , but I planned on moving the liftgate forward to just behind the rear seats, and just welding it in as a panel (no more liftgate), then adding a tailgate. This way I figured with some work I could have a nice panel that matched bodylines, had a power window, wiper, defrost, etc,. Hopefully someone has that thread bookmarked....

Yeah, it's pretty nice. A lot of custom work though. When I get another project 2nd gen I am going to be looking into welding the rear doors shut and cutting the top off for a removable top much like ths 1st gen runners. I don't think I have seen that done on a 2nd gen yet.

Thats the idea I would love to go with on my next long term purchase. Either with a mid-late 90's 4runner or L.C.
