ALLPRO weld in cage?

ALLPRO weld in cage?

Anyone have any info on the ALL PRO WELD IN ROLL CAGE? Its for my 88 runner. Any tips,trix or experiance with it?

looks pretty simple.... check locally on a custom cage as you will need to have it professionally welded and it might be cheaper to have one built since they will charge you quite a bit

unless you are a welder you really wanna be sure it done correctly since it could save your life

They no longer make the rear 1/2 of the cage, so you'll be stuck with just the driver/pass seats being protected.

I installed one in my 86 xcab and I think it's a good off-the shelf alternative to a custom cage. I said "good", not "great".

If you go this route, plan on spending 20-40 hours getting it just right. Throw the floor plates in the track immediately, as they are not big enough - replace them with 4"x6" plates so you can cover the entire body mount, not just 1/2 like AP suggests. Then have it professionally welded.

Personally, for $350 + $120 in shipping that it cost me, I'd likely have a custom one made next time. Last quote I got from a race car builder back in the mid '90's for an 8-point cage for my old 4Runner was under $800. And if I cage my current 4Runner, it will be done by a pro...
