I have just about finished my chart that outlined everything. I am going to post it once I am done. It looks like it was about $5500 for front and rear.

I know what mine was. All that bling adds up. ARB's, CTM's, Superior & Poly Performance, but it will never break behind the 4 cylinders of fury.

Double his cost.

Then again I did collect right around his cost from selling IFS skid plates, Full Manual Hub setup, Stock Dana 44 axles, steering rack, etc.

So in the end it cost me about the same, but with BLING !

My 85 fits in my normal 2 car garage w/ about an inch of clearance w/ the sunroof tilted up.

I agree, yotatech is a great place to ask questions. Other places just flame you or tell you to search. Like they were born with it...

I agree, this place is getting better and better for SAS info. Before, you would almost be forced to search pirate for valuable info. But now, we have a lot of what we need right here, with nice people!

oh and by the way, cubuff, your runner looks great! a little tall, but great nonetheless!

[Sir Mix A Lot] I like big trucks and I cannot lie, you other brother's can't deny...[Sir Mix A Lot]

Seriously though, neat rig. Big SOB though.

44044's are a lift spring for a sprung under V-8 truck. I always have to ask why?

Soft, flex good, good center-pin placement, should last a while, etc...

I just want to say that my first impression when I saw Jeff's truck (after the SAS) was WOW! That is tall! However, we talked about it quite a bit last Saturday and now that he has the handling/alignment sorted, I wouldn't change a thing. Yes, it's tall but the fab work is top notch, he's got it working well on the road, and he is using nearly all the clearance and spring travel. What's not to like? We didn't try it, but I think without the roof rack it would fit in my garage and mine isn't unusually tall.

I like it. I now I have 37" tire envy. Jeff's truck makes my 85 on 35's look small.

I'm looking forward to running Carnage this weekend with you Jeff.

Yes thank you all for answering all my dumb questions without flaming me like pirate.

And yes, of course your rig is now the envy af all. But you actually did a good job, especially at all your fabbing skills. I envy not only your truck but your skills.

awesome, would like to see some close up of the work.

I love it. obviously too tall for my taste (damn, I feel like steve saying that) but its sweet. Congrats. I know all the work that goes into that, something I think about everytime I'm working on the buggy. Why did I start with this crap again? I'm not kidding anyone though, I love it...

Congrats again!

Hey is there any way you could take some pics of your front and rear axle set up? Like mounting points of the shocks front and rear and possibly some measurements of the rear mounts inside the cab? I'm planning on copying your suspension right now I'm trying to take in as much knowledge possible while I'm getting all the parts together. Please and thank you

I can take a few more pics this weekend. The rear shock mounts can only be seen from below. In the cab I have them wrapped with a material to keep the dust from coming into the cab where the shocks mount.

since the OP still checks the forum every so often......where did you get that front winch mount up! its seriously good looking!!!!! i would consider not getting an aftermarket bumper if i could get something like that! i love the stock bumper look, and that adds a winch and protection against the bumper...LOVE IT!

did you build it? or buy it from somewhere?
