hey, thx everybody for the kind words! I'll just paint this set, it's just a prototype and once I 'extensively test' them in the dez I'll take em off and build a 5" over kit. If the 5 over kit works I'll sell this set. If not I'll put these back on.

Whew this is a lot of work! I'll have the other side cut out with a water jet. For now here are the pics from today:

You can see the Chaos arms that I'm replacing. There are 3 main reasons I'm doing this. My King shocks bottom out before the bumps hit, the bolts holding in my lower ball joints contact the lower arms, and I keep breaking the upper plates! I have addressed all of these problems and resolved them! I'm actually cycling 2" more travel than my Chaos kit was able to cycle. I'll bump and strap at 13" just to be safe!

I expect to have everything bumped and strapped, tabs welded, and arm fully welded up before tomorrow night. I'll then remove the arm and paint it. Tue I'll install, set alignment and drive it! There's a jump behind the supermercado down the street, I'll do some midnight testing!

I set bump with the rubber stop fully compressed

Used .250 wall tubing to replace old limit strap clevice mounts

put hard brake line on top of frame instead of on side, now there's room for limit strap mount. And I don't have to pull the bypass to adjust the limit strap.

Real Estate is tight under there!

All I gotta do is bleed the brakes and install wheel. Oh ya, and build uppers
So I got the jig for the other side done, pivot points and ball joint slug bolted in, and top/bottom plates cut out. Pretty good progress. Done by midnight, but I started at like nineB)

I should have it boxed in tonight:yes:

hey, thx! It's been so crazy getting this done, it takes a ton of time! I gotta get this finished and make another set for a customer! But this sure is living the life, I've always wanted to build this!

I shut down my carpet cleaning biz two weeks ago and haven't looked back since!
