Getting there... Slowly but surely!
This truck was purchased by my parents in February of 1989 because in the short 3 months after I was born my parents decided they needed a bigger family vehicle that could hold my 4 year old sister and my new born self.
89 X-cab pickup 3.0 4x4 base model, no bells or whistles... or A/C or Clocks either haha. But I love this truck to death and plan to keep it as long as humanly possible in a area full of rust!
Here is what I started with:

The fenders were also plagued by this cancer, but I never got any pictures of them before they were removed.
First things first, I chose the easy work to do:

I was considering painting the fenders to match, but decided that I didn't want them to look like they had just been painted and not quite the same as the rest of the truck, so that is where the next step comes in.
Flat black, but only what i could afford at the time.
I bought a legitimate flat black from an auto-parts store, so it cost me about $200 CDN to paint the front half of my truck

My friend Brad sanding away:

Myself spot priming:

Excited about painting, so I decided to dance:

Thats how the truck was from October until this spring
I then decided instead of spending way too much money once again to pain the box to match the cab, I decided to spray bomb the entire deal and finally got myself some real tires to throw on my baby:

Blacked-out the rims:

Blackout grille and front bumper:

Added the YOTA before I joined this site because a friend of mine has called Toyota's YOTA's for as long as I can remember, and it just grew on me. Haha. The box is still unfortunately very rusty, but I plan on replacing it with one brought up from america some time soon anyway, so it's not too big of a deal.
Truck as of today:
"Murder Black" paint job
33x10.5x15 BFG Mud Terrains
15x8 White steelies painted flat black
Silver Bullet Muffler
No lift, front or rear
Custom painted headlight housings/wipers/skid (cause pink and green are awesome, even though you claim you don't like it, everyone really does)
Intended future mods:
OME rear lift
Ball Joint Spacers
Herculiner box liner for box, fenders, and rockers
4.88's
Lockers of some sort (need more research)
3" Body lift (maybe)

Bit of bad news
Since I am currently going to school (DAMN YOU COLLEGE) I don't have a lot of free time to work. So unfortunately I had to sell my mudders. Back to stock for me! Oh well, I have the other truck for a reason
