Synthetic Line opinions
#3
My suggestion would be 3/8 x 80'. If I am to purchase again, that is what I will get. I like the added strength of the 3/8 line. My 5/16 has already broken once.

Now get that truck ready for a run to the beach.

x2...Go with 80' of 3/8 synthetic and carry an extension for the situations that require more line.
I really like my steel line for its durability and strength though...you just have to use extra caution when rigging it and under load of course. I can drag it over rocks and ledges without too much worry of it snapping. I would never do that with a synthetic line...but its like everything else...lots of pro's/con's to both. You can't go wrong with either.
*If you swap the steel for synthetic let me know...I could use a new steel line in the near future.

Thanks guys. Of course in my own impatience, I've already ordered the 5/16. At 13,000lb rating, it should be alright. I'll let you know about the steel Brian. One other guy already says he wants it but I bet shipping will be prohibitive.
