Once I get my runner....I'd be down for weekday excursions of all sorts and all places.

(Working retail SUX...no weekends off)

But for now, I'll just have to enjoy the movies. lol

Oh...BTW...

Where does everyone get their equipment? I know good import shops and sites, but none for 4x4's. I'm looking to get 31" BFG's, a decent lift (nothing SERIOUS...just beefier for the occasional 4x4 adventure), a heavy duty front bumper w/brush guard, and a roof cargo tray w/light bar. Any suggestions?

Did you race at Bandi? I gave up my race car back in '03 and I'm now on my 2nd 3rd gen Runner and I like having a vehicle that generally trouble free and runs on 87;no more need for 105 octane.

Nope.

Not into drag racing....

AutoX was my thing. Still is, I'll be co-driving some friend's SC'd Civic's this summer. I just need to lose the ricer for $$ purposes. lol Too much insurance and speeding tickets. lol

My roomate had a SC'd '00 Type R and he got me to do a little autoxing but my Eclipse was set up more for the strip but it still was a blast plus I hit Second Creek a few times a year for the thrill of actually turning.

I also got rid of my GSX for the reason I couldn't keep my foot out of the throttle and tallied way too many tickets.

So you do a lot of wheelin' now?

What mod's have you done to your runner?

I'm curious to know what people in CO have done, what's practical and what's just for looks, etc.

I'm thinkin'...for when I get a runner...

Sliders (Nerf bars)
31 BFG's
Brush guard/bumper
rear bumper?
Roof rack
and other lil things.

I just got my '99 just a few months ago so I haven't actually taken it wheelin' yet but I did take my '97 (which I had for a year) off road but I'm still a noob overall.

My '99 is still pretty much stock except for the 265/75s that came on it when I bought it plus it also had a Yakima Load Warrior basket on top and limo tint all around;I really bought it only for the hood scoop ......and it had the factory rear locker.
I've added a faux Tacoma skid plate,Silverstar bulbs,Alpine HU,amp and sub and clear corners, tinted signal lenses and OEM style "TRD Sport" decals round out the ricey stuff.

I'm hoping to do springs/shocks and sliders soon but I think a set of Bridgestone Revos will be first.

Hello everyone! I just joined the forum today. Im somewhat new to Colorado and recently bought a 92 Runner (mods are in the works).

FattyMcj, Ive found a few 4x4 places that youd be real interested in. One place does fabs and can make just about anything you want. Another deals with nothing but Toyotas. Hit me up and ill give you all the info!

Slee Off Road 4565 N Highway 93 (303) 278-8287
They do nothing but Toyota work and have a guy there that they call "our 4runner specialist". Their real big on ARB and O.M.E. stuff. Located just outside of Golden but very easy to get to from HWY 58. Real clean place and helpful-honest people.

Rocky Mountain Backroad 4x4's 15750 S Golden Rd. (303) 279-9507
They do just about anything you can imagine including custom fabrication such as roll cages, bumpers, etc. and will even use your own designs. They also do all the normal stuff like clutches, lifts, tune ups, axels, parts, and accessories. The guys there are kinda grimy but they seem to know what there doing pretty well.

Theres one more place i know of but i just found it today by accident so i will have to get the info on them another time.
If you know of any other places, id like to know myself.

Christo Slee does mainly Landcruisers. He does do some 3rd gen, but hardly any first. I don't know about 2nd gen or 4th gen.

I live in the Wads/Chatfield area so just look for a green sport model with TRD Sport stickers on the sides and say hi.
