Places to get the spacers installed

Ok...so the spacers for the front of my 4runner are coming...now i need a shop to install them. I called 4x4 Connection and they said it would be AT LEAST 2 hours of labor at $62/hr. Seems kinda pricy for labor--maybe they are charging me extra for bringing in my own kit? Not to mention it would take about an hour each way to get to the shop then back home. Anyone know of a place that will do it closer (and cheaper would be good too!)???? I cant find anyone who is willing to do it. Anyone know how to do this and would help with the install? I dont have the tools/place to do it, and I am looking for a high quality finished product. FYI-I ended up going with Nitrous Enterprises and am doing a lift using a 1" spacer which SHOULD provide about 1 1/4" lift in the front. That would still make the front a little lower than the rear, but will look freakin sweet (Just what the doctor ordered)!

Hey Ian---you any good with this stuff? Your truck looks sweet...where did you get your lift done? Or were you a real man and installed it yourself?!

Thanks

Shaun,
Lacking tools, and more importantly experience, I had 4x4 Connection install my lift, sliders, TJM, and winch. They were nice enough to let me drop of the 4Runner the day I was leaving for a trip to England and pick it up a week later with everything done.

4x4 Connection doesn't charge any extra for customer supplied parts for install.

Hmmm....I guess I might have to suck it up and pay out that cash! Damn---seems expensive, but I guess you need to do whatever it takes to guarantee a good job. Anyone else have any input?

Yeah---That would be sweet! Just need to wait a bit until I get back from the honeymoon. I will be free on weekends starting Oct 23rd, at least as far as I know. I dont know my schedule yet for the Sheriffs Dept.

Hey Ian,
I think you've used both of these, What's the cost vs distance ratio for these two shops? High tech is much closer, do we know what their shop rate is? John?

Yes, I've used both places. For me, High Tech is just down the road. They both are equally good, High Tech would be my first choice because it's closer.

Shaun, if you go with High Tech, you would go down Rt. 28, take the exit to Rt. 50 (West) and go about 1/4 to 1/2 mile. Turn left at the U-Haul shop and go down a few hundred yards. It's in an industrial park.

High Tech stated that they usually dont install these as they have found that it puts extra stress on the coil??? The spacer doesnt even touch the coil! It goes between the end of the coil pack and the mounting point on the inner wheel well. I may have to bring it in to them to see what they think. If not, I will have to go to 4x4 Connection.

shaun, so these spacers dont require you to disasemble the coil assembly. if thats the case, they should be REAL easy to put in. let me see a pic of them, if you can, or a link to them on the web.
matt, cant do the 10th. ive got some public safety demonstration with the fire department that day, actually we have stuff all that weekend.

You do have to take apart the shocks...but that is so you can install the longer bolts through the end cap of the coil pack to reach through the spacer then the mounting bracket attached to the truck.

My spacer will be similar to the black ring you see on the bottom of the site, only thicker since I am not putting the poly spacer INSIDE the coil pack.
