Just moved here. Near downtown. '87 Runner. I'm actually looking to do a little work on her today. Trying to get my rear wiper and defroster working. I've been working on the stupid defroster for almost a year now and can't seem to track down the problem.
Anyway, its matte black. stock height bigger tires, probably with a box on top. Say hi if you see me.

So I blew my HG, need a rebuild with new cam and timing assy. I've sent some PMs asking for help, but figured I'd just post here. Does anyone have some recommendations for an engine builder (unfortunately I have no garage or tools as I just moved here).
I have it at the Sumas NAPA and auto repair right now, they've offered to do it for about 600 in labor.
Any thoughts would be appreciated

Hey all, lookin for a decent condition passenger rear axle shaft off a 3rd gen 4x4 (89-95) or off a 2nd gen 90-94 4runner if anyone in the Seattle area has one. mines been leaking all over the damn place, replace the seal and it's still leaking.

sup guys, I'm not FROM bham, I live in lynwood, but I'm gonna be staying up @ snowater all next week (3-3 thru 3-9) snowboarding.
I've been to baker before - many times - but not this year and i dont know how the snowpack is. I'm trying to get into some backcountry bowls or pow lines but baker's got a pretty daunting reputation for backcountry and I dont know where to start. If anybody's a local up there and would like to show me around, I've been riding mtns for 20+ years so dont worry about me not being able to keep up....
Oh yea- the place i'm stayin at has an INDOOR pool n hot tub for after we're done riding, and I'm gonna bring a hefty stash of drink n hash to keep the mood light.
Shoot me a PM on here or answer this thread and we can further communicate, I dont like leaving phone numbers on the internet.

I figured I'd add my name to the list of Bellingham guys!
Anyone know of a good logging road/FS road to take the yota off the pavement for some explorin'? I have to get some maps of the local FS/logging roads, but I haven't had the time to go and get 'em

Hey, another bham local here, if you're looking for fire trail roads there are some decent ones out towards baker that offer soome pretty amazing views, though this time of year they get pretty rough with all the water and snow out there. summer time though they are a blast, i'm still open diffs and didn't have any trouble getting up to the top of some of them. walker valley ORV can be fun if you are just looking for some time off the road in the woods though, but it can get tough open diffs and i wouldn't try it alone, or if you don't mind some body dents as there are some tight parts.
feel free to message if you are looking for someone to wheel with or just point you in the direction of some good off the road fun
and if you do go out remember to be prepared and tread lightly,
Happy trails

Definitely NOT looking to get body damage... I hate the look of beat-up rigs so Fire Service roads are for me! Probably looking to head out on the trails in the spring time (or whenever the snow melts) so if you're down to go out wheelin' then, I'll PM ya! I should have a 4 inch lift and 33's by then so I can go a bit farther than I can now with my bald 31's!
Are the roads you talked about off Mt. Baker Highway?

I went to REI and picked up a couple of Green Trails maps that show a decent number of FS/Logging roads... I haven't done much exploring to see where they lead yet, but once the snow melts I'm game to go!
What's your rig like?
