My family and I are going to relocate to Portland. I've been doing some research and was wondering, if anyone had some feed back on some good areas?

 

There are a few trail networks not too far from Portland. You can head West to Tillamook Forest into the Brown's Camp area or head East to Mt Hood or SE to Clackamas. If you like sand, there is Sand Lake or further down the coast to Florence.
Best Bang for the buck is probably the Brown's Camp area; trail maps, decent signage, trail ratings, camping opportunities, etc. Plenty of other rec activities too - fishing, hunting, mtn. biking, atv.
