Hey all, I am new to the Yotatech, and new to toyota. Just bought a 85 runner, 22re sr5 and I am loving it!!! The truck was already set up for crawling. 529, 33's, winch, rock lights, cb, and a marlin crawler third stick, cam ect. I am really looking forward to hitting the trails of NorCal. The truck has 271k on it, the engine was rebuilt about 80k ago. Please let me know what trails I should be hitting first!! and what I should do/look for on my new truck. ie: problems, other possible up grades i could do to the truck to make it more off road worthy and still keep it street-able.

I am located in Santa Cruz Ca, I am about a hour from Hollister. I am looking on going wheeling this coming weekend, the 24th though the 26th of this month. I really have not tested out the rig yet so I want to go somewhere that is relatively easy, but fun enough so I won't get board. (ie: no fire roads) I have had some 4X4 experience in AZ, CO and Southern Cali, but nothing major. Never needed a winch or extreme articulation, just some minor rock crawling(az), river fording(2-3 ft.), and some pretty difficult up hill action.(socal). Can anyone suggest something close to Santa Cruz that I could go to and test out my new 85?

Thanks skoti89, for the book recommendation, I already ordered it from amazon.

Hey everyone in Nor Cal, can anyone suggest a good drive line shop in the santa cruz - san jose area? I have a very minor drive line vibration when I hit 60 ish on the speedo? There are drive line shops here in santa cruz, however none of them are really toyota specialist or are able to handle off-road applications like mine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
