Hello so my 96 Toyota 4Runner sr5. When I turn my headlights on my tail lights don't come on ? But when I hit my breaks the break light works ? I checked all fuses their good check bulb it's good replaced the tail 12v relay and still nothing ? What could be going on needed advice asap ??? Thanks

 

Start with the bulbs. Then go to the rear connector. Then go to the wiring harness that feeds the rear connector. If you have power at the end of the harness the problem has to be either in the taillight harness or the bulb. This assumes that you have power to the 3rd brake light and your cruise works.
