93 Pickup ticking sound from clutch/transmission area
Hello all. I was turning around at the end of my driveway one night and all of a sudden I started hearing a loud ticking/thumping sound coming from my clutch/transmission area. It does not go away whether I push the clutch in or not. But I can feel it on the clutch pedal, the vibration in sync with the sound. I was still able to park it where I normally do but this sound has to be a bad bearing or something right? Or maybe the clutch itself is worn or damaged I’m not sure. Does anyone know what it is and how hard it is to get to to replace it???
thanks.
thanks.

Clutch replacement
Hey,
Doing a clutch isn’t the most fun Toyota truck job. The drive shafts, crossmember and tranny/transfer case have to be lowered/ moved back and down to access it. If you don’t have access to a lift and shop, a good transmission jack and a friend are also good. It can be done solo, but it’s much easier with two people. There are a lot of good videos online detailing the process. Alex Man videos has a descent video. Also the 50’s kid videos are descent.
