I am looking into snagging a first gen 4 runner and I am thinking the price of the rig is pretty steep even though it’s a unicorn.

no modifications done on it ever
clean title
runs/drives great
zero mechanical issues

Asking price is 12k and I feel like 7-8k would be more appropriate

any suggestions/insight is welcome.

If it's rust-free, someone else will likely pay his price if you don't.
Can't hurt to offer 9 or 10K and go from there.

 

12k is actually pretty cheap for what I have seen people pay, rust free?? I would pay 12 in a heartbeat and the owner knows it will bring it, I wouldn’t waste too much time deciding, if it’s something you want and it checks all the awesome boxes.
