got mine today .. like it its great .

super lite poles ,great thick canvas .. wasnt to hard installing it once you get going.

i just dont like the hole at the front bottom corner. i guess your supposed to put some of the extra rubber seal there.

also i have to make a new tire carrier , i cant fold the top all the way down into its storage bag ..
for now it stays up ..

I ended up with little gaps there as well, and also on the back corners. I put the seal on last year, but didn't bother this year. And it has seen some rain this year, no problems with the interior getting wet.

It looks sweet!!

rma, do you not have the rubber gasket that goes around the front mounting hardware?

can you see mine in the pic above?

RMA what tire carrier is that? Do you like it?
I am in the market for one..

Also the holes in the bottom of the bow ring dont let any water in.. dont worry about them. I took a lil of the extra rubber from the bow ring and doubled it up under there.. worked awesome. Also you can take the bow ring off and bend it a little more so it hugs the cab better.

yes i do , but according to the instructions i got , that gasket goes facing the back .. so the snaps go facing forward ..
you have it backwards ..
look at coldas ices pics you can see it in those .. i have it the same way.

thanks man i made the carrier .I also tried bending the bottom a little , but the canvas is just to taut when snapped shut.. it pulls back up since there is no screws or bolts there.

well it's staying that way

i wonder if they changed the install instructions... i bought when they introduced on ebay.

oh well.

maybe you can pound the metal thingy closer to the cab. i used a rubber mallet.

Racks?

Anyone with one of these created any sort of rack system? I really would like to get one, but constantly use my rooftop box and have surfboards up there. I was thinking maybe something like the yakima outdoorsman, plus a gutter mounted rack over the cab?

Anyone got any ideas /pics?

Bump an old thread, who has this top with tinted windows? When you roll the sides up and down did you start to get scratches on the plastic windows? Seems to be very easy to scratch them, just wondering if others had that issue as well?

Yes, I have the tinted window version and I'm developing scratches. Kindof near where the factory roll bar is, and there might also be some where the buckles hold the rear window rolled up. I wonder if they can be buffed out with some polishing compound. Have you talked to SoftTopper about this?
