I'd definitely recommend the 4"/3" lift for her then. Keeping an inch
difference seems perfect ... and believe me, I've had enough
combinations of heights to know.

Do you want me to add you to the mailing list? Some people get really
angry when they get added, so I have to ask each time.

****
Please add me! This address is fine.

What size tires can I fit under this size lift? 33s?

I talked to Anthony and he is setting up a time to put the lift on.
You guys are very polite and easy to work with. Keep up the good work.

Mike

Which lift are you asking about? Yours or your wife's? I'm not as
familiar with the 3rd gen. as Anthony is ... so if you're asking about
your lift, he'll have to answer that one. However I do know that with
your wife's lift, you'd be able to fit 33s with minor trimming to the
front inner fenders.

That being said, I don't know if you tried to send payment yet or not
but did want to let you know we haven't received any for her kit. I
tried sending you a paypal invoice, since it was going to be $349
instead of $399 ... did you receive it? No rush, I just wanted to be
sure you knew we can't start making a kit until we receive the order
because we have to be efficient with our business spending.

****
Jan 4th
I was talking about the wife's 4runner. A little trimming isn't bad.
The new Toyo MTRs would look great under it!

As for the 4th gen lift I haven't received the paypal invoice. Try
sending again and I will pay. Do you think I can pick it up Friday
when I do the lift on mine?

Thanks,
mike

****
Jan 4th

Okay Mike ... Anthony says he can have your wife's kit ready for Friday.
I'll go send the PayPal invoice again. Let me know if you don't
receive it within the next hour.

Hey, talked with my guys at the shop today up in WA. Here is the scoop.
Supposedly there is a front coming in to south west washington / north west
oregon over the next couple days. My head guy and the person I wanted to hook
you up with is in school in OR. He has been in good contact with me regarding
the install for you and will be making a decision tomorrow if he is going to
make the trip up or not depending on the weather. So, if you are comfortable
doing the install yourself, or with some help, I can have another guy or two at
our shop for you. We have all the tools you will need, just not the install
savy members of NE. If this is not amicable for you, we can most definitely
set a date for next weekend as my guy from OR will be up, or we could also ship
you the kit to your house. Get back to me asap with what works best for you and
I will make it happen. Sorry for this surprise, I wasnt expecting it either,
but regardless will do all in my power to reach the goal you want. Looking
forward to hearing back, take care.

AK

****
Jan 5th
Anthony,
If there is a lift at your shop I am capable of putting it on myself.
If there is no lift I can just do it here at my house.

Do you need pictures of the install for your site?

****
Jan 5th
Mike-

Hey, thanks for the super quick reply. The shop does not have a hoist, but has
endless 3-4 ton floor jacks, all the pnuematic tools you will ever need, as
well as anything else...also spring compressors which help a bit if you dont
have em. Pics of the install are not crucial as long as we can get some before
and after pics. Let me know what your thoughts are and I will get back to you
here asap. Thanks for being so flexible with all of this, I really do
appreciate it A LOT. Gonna grab a shower and be back. Just tell me how you
wanna do it and consider it done.

Anthony

****
Jan 5th

Sounds like your shop has pretty much everything my garage has. I will
go ahead and install in my garage if that is ok. Is there anyway to
get the kit here by Friday? I have tons of before pictures including
stuff and droop and will put the new kit through this also with pics.
I also want pictures of the install for my site so I will have lots of
material for you.

Thanks,
Mike

****
Jan 5th

Mike-

Ok, I am going to call up to WA tomorrow to the shop and see what we can work
out regarding getting you the kit by friday. I dont want to make any promises,
but I will sure give it hell for ya! If that cant happen, monday would be the
worst case scenario i assume. Let me see what I can do for you early tomorrow
morning, and I will relay any and all info back to you asap. Thanks again for
working with me to handle this scenario, much appreciated!

Anthony

Hey Anthony,
Any word?

****
Mike-

Hey, sorry for not getting back to you sooner!...I just got off the phone with
the guys up in the WA shop. Your front has been revised and is ready at 2.5"
of lift as I told you a few days ago on the phone. For some reason in the
process, they did not redo the rears to 2.5". I jumped on em right away and
told them to get their asses in gear as you are waiting. I will be receiving a
phone call later today from the shop regarding the rear spacers. As soon as I
get word, I will email you back right away. One thing I can do is have them
get the front off overnight mail to you tomorrow and the rears would be at the
most a day or two behind. I assume you would not want the 2" rears as the back
end of the runners and tacomas of this time period seem to all sit lower in the
back with rear sag. So, get back to me with your thoughts and I will keep on
those guys for you. I have also been told it is snowing on and off up that
way, so it sounds like the storm may be coming in. Talk with ya soon. Another
option would be me having send one of my guys with the kit over in your
direction and you guys could meet up on saturday.

AK

****
Jan 6th
Anthony,

Thanks for keeping me informed. I don't want to do 2" in the rear as I
am already starting to get a little "butt sag". I was hoping to get
the lift on this weekend but it doesn't look like that will happen
with these set backs. I don't want one of your guys to have to drive
all the way to my house to deliver it. Would it be possible for
someone to meet me in Seattle? If not just send them as soon as
possible.

It snowed a little this morning but looks like we will just be getting
little snow showers here and there. No real accumulation is expected.

Mike

****
Jan 6th

Mike-

Again thanks for your continued understanding. One thing I was gonna ask you is
if 3" of lift in the rear would seem more appropriate considering the sag we are
already dealing with in your situation here?? Since they are recasting the
rears, if you do want to go up to 3" back there, now is the time to let me
know...the most important thing is getting you EXACTLY what you want. Also,
let me see what I can do regarding sending someone to seattle with the kit on
saturday. I'm sure we'll be talking!

AK

****
Jan 6th
I would have to take some measurements to see where it would sit with
3". The sag is very minor right now but would show up a lot with a .5"
difference in front and rear lifts. Have you guys put one of these on
a 3rd gen yet? does it sit level?

Also, will you be able to deliver the 4th gen lift I paid for at the same time?

Thanks,
Mike

****
Jan 6th
Mike-

OK, just gimme a little time here and I will be getting back to you with the
answers to the rest of your questions...back on the phone with those guys right
now! Also, to confirm, the 4th gen DOES NOT have x-reas, correct?

AK

****
Jan 6th

correct

****
Jan 6th
I don't know what's going on here, or what's going on with Anthony's
"shop" guys ... but damn. All the info regarding your wife's truck is
in our inbox - plain as day to see. The order itself contains
"non-XREAS" in the title .... so rest assured, Anthony has the info he
needs regarding your wife's kit.

So what is the deal with the shop? You have to install it yourself
now?! I will be speaking with Anthony this evening. Part of the reason
you volunteered to do this, and agreed to do it, was because we promised
you that we would install it for you for free. That offer and deal
should be lived up to. Unless you would actually prefer to install it
yourself. What would be best for you, Mike?

upset at the confusion,
another NE employee

****
Jan 6th
I don't really care who installs it at this point. I have lifted many
vehicles and have all the tools necessary to do it. I just want to get
it done. I volunteered to install it myself because a ferry ride back
and forth to Bremerton would take almost as long as installing the
lift myself. My motives for chosing NE wasn't the free install though.
I enjoy getting involved with the 4x4 community and helping young
companies get going. You and Anthony have both put a lot of time and
effort into helping people on the yotatech board and I respect that.
You have both been very polite and easy to work with and given the
prices you have offered me for the two lifts I certainly can't
complain.

As a business and IT consultant though I do have to travel on occasion
and planning time to install a lift or plan a trip to port orchard is
kinda hard. That is why I was kinda hoping I would have it for this
weekend as I am heading out of town next week.

I will continue to be as flexible as possible in hopes I will have the
lift on soon one way or another.

Can we get your shipping address so we can ship those kits off to you?
Thanks, Mike!

****

Address sent

****
Jan 6th
Thanks Mike ... Anthony estimates that they'll be off to you on Monday.
I'll let you know if I hear anything more ... and while I have not,
myself, worked on the 3rd gen ... I have done a couple 4th gen.
installs, so if you get hung up on any of that ... just let me know and
I'll do my best to help!

Hey Anthony or Tracy,
Can you verify the package was shipped? Do you have a tracking number?
Thank you,
Michael

****
Jan 11th
Mike-

Hey, sorry for not getting back to ya sooner. I have been ridiculously busy
with meetings and work lately. I will have a break to make a phone call
regarding your kit shipment as well as tracking # info this evening. Thanks
again for your patience. I'll do my best to get back to you asap!

AK

AK,
Any word from the shop? I hate to be a pest but I really need this stuff.
Thanks,

****
Jan 13th

Dear Mike-

Hi, this is Ian and I am head of fabrication at our NE shop. Anthony had
a family emergency come up but was able to contact me and tell me that you
are our #1 concern customer wise at the moment. I hope I am understanding
him correctly as you are the customer in seattle, right? I will be in at
the shop tonight as I am every night and should be tying up the loose ends
on your stuff asap. I was instructed by Anthony to do anything and
everything I can to get your kits to you in whatever way you prefer asap.
If you want me to drive to seattle now that the snow is gone, I can do
that as well. We just got internet hooked up here at the shop, so I will
look forward to your response. I do know Anthony has shipped your 4th gen
shocks from his place in CA. Thanks again.

Ian Neeld

****
Jan 13th

Ian,
I appreciate the email. I would like the kits shipped overnight mail
to my house or if you will be in the Seattle area I can get them from
you tomorrow. If you chose to send overnight please send me the
tracking number.

My address is
xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Thank you for getting back to me.

-Mike

****
Jan 14th
Ian,
Please confirm the kits were shipped or you are meeting me today in Seattle.

****
Jan 14th

Mike-

Hi, this is Ian again. I just wanted to tell you that I have received
your emails and as soon as I have a break from my main/real job where I am
right now I will email you the shipping information. Thank you.

Ian

****
Jan 15th

Ian,

This is not satisfactory. As with all of the previous emails from NE
you have not stated if they were shipped, when they will be shipped or
provided a tracking number. Once again (for the 9th week) I am left
without a lift kit as promised. If I am such an important customer why
won't you deliver the goods in the manner I specified. Since you did
not ship them yesterday like I asked I would like you to make good on
your offer to drive to Seattle and deliver them today. Please contact
me immediatly. I will only be in Seattle until 3.

Mike

**************
**************
**************

At this point Anthony called me and offered me my money back. As I said before and you can read above NE was polite in all conversations. However the kits were never sent and nor any tracking numbers sent. The shocks that were supposedly coming from Cali never showed.

I have removed the name of the person I emailed originally as she doesn't work there. Only a few emails were from AK and are labeled as such

Also the 4th gen kit is a birthday present for the missus, that is why I was especially angry for the delay as it was obvious I was not going to get it in time for her b-day.

I would think an owner of NE would not want to re-register under yet another online persona, but it appears there's a bit too much credit being given.

Does anyone still have doubts? or am I in with the cool kids?

I am glad that some have had good experiences with NE. Perhaps they had a bad run of luck with parts, distributing, who knows but given the information Bob laid out......whoa....I don't know what to say.

Too bad he just didn't deliver as promised, if he had I would have hopefully written a glowing review!

Thanks Mods for helping on this one. I had no idea the extend of this.

This is the reason I come to this forum. Fair and honest opinions about products related to our toyota's.

Mickdady - Kudos for coming out and standing up for your rights and letting the rest of us Yotatecher's know about your experience.

I myself don't have any experience with NE so I can not judge but, if there is one thing I hate it would be false promises.

Interesting...is new member "cloudy" related to Ryan Cloud, registered agent of Nitrous Enterprises, LLC?

Thus, is 96redracer = Ryan Cloud = Cloudy?

It's like the NE iceberg. What you see is just the tip of the b.s.
The important thing is these frauds are being exposed.

Interesting find Bob. Its up to NE to clarify all of this now. I however find a lot of actions very suspect, and it is a real pity if a good idea gets blown by bad management decisions. Oh well, have seen enough of that in my life.

I too had my share of problems with the "NE Management". If you all want details, I will start a new thread, but I want to at least sum the facts of my experience here. And by the way, it seems this company is full of legal threats, even to their customers.

Summary of my Problems:
Lift kit not delivered as promised on three different occasions.
Spacers not the same height
Spacers not symmetrical
Issues with getting refund upon returning the kit.

I would like to say that the customer service and tech support I received was excellent, which made me feel really good about going with an unproven company/product. She gave 110% until the end.

Yeah I think I remember somewhere in business school the professor mentioning sueing your customers is a bad thing. Seems to have worked for the recording industry though.

Did they threaten you for trying to return your product? Do you have any pictures of the spacers?

Post them here - we don't need multiple NE feedback threads going. Easier to search for info too.
