You think people would buy a "DIY Bumper Kit" that would come with all the plates and mounting parts cnc cut ready to weld together?

I think you could sell quite a few of those. A lot of members here have welders but don't have access to CNC cutters and would jump all over a kit like that.

I would think you could sell quite a few if they are competitively priced... Assuming the kit wont have the bumper pre bent, the question would be, wouldnt shipping cost alot more to ship a flatter, bigger package? Now if you pre bent the bumper i think it would be sweet... I just like the selling plans idea because it is something that has no startup cost for you, free delivery (download), and the customer can just take the plans to their local machine shop and have them cut it out real quick. Even if someone buys your plans and starts selling them, there are still going to be people coming to you just wanting the plans.

I'm going to be moving to the moscow/pullman area next year and would really like one of your bumpers. if you can work a winch mount into one, I'll buy on from ya!

well if he sells kits, you could just get the basic one, cut a hole, and fab up your own reciever mount inside.... It wouldn't have to look pretty in there, nobody would see it just make sure its securely welded or bolted to the frame

I like that idea. I do have a winch but didnt really want to have it in my bumper and was going to make a winch cradle that would go into a receiver tube. I might put that into the one I am building now.

I think it makes sense to not have a winch permanently mounted on the front - a cradle mounted winch is far more versatile.
