What Would YOU Do?

Saw this on T4R:

So, the question is, should you be unlucky enough to be in that situation, what would YOU do? Get a tow truck out there? Push it off a cliff?

A reason not to go out wheeling alone?

the link didn't work, but i found it at http://www.big-boys.com/articles/badhummer.html and yeah that hurts. if you like your ride, either you get some help or, that failing, you get a tow. a good reason to have good insurance that covers tows.

This has been around a couple of times... The interesting thing is that there's voice off-camera saying "yeah, that's where _____ did it" "Oh, is THAT where he did it?" and then... SNAP! the tie-rod goes.

It can happen to anyone... it's a good example of just how much torque is present up in the front end, and how important it is to get the right line through _any_ obstacle. It really doesn't take much to create a bad situation.

To answer your question, I think that the last time this came around we learned that they towed the H2 out (backwards) to an off-trail spot, then left it over night and came back the next day with a new tie-rod.
