i have an 8" rear im curently running 33x14.50 super swamper ssrs on my 84 yota. i am about to put 2 more inch's in shackles on it and mabe bigger tires latter on 35s to 38s ...any opinions on what gears i should get.i was thinking 4.88s but dont know. i dont want to have to run up the rpms to get the speed to. its a daily driver...thanks

 

4:88's are perfect for 33's, but for 35's or bigger your gonna want 5:29's

Just really depends on your engines condition. I had a rebuilt 22RE w/ 5spd and 4.88s that would turn 37s down the interstate over 70+ mph no problem.

 

38's you'll want 5.71
