Welding sliders on in SD area?

Welding sliders on in SD area?
I know there are plenty of weld shops in SD, but would prefer to take my stubbs sliders to a place that already did some before, and also don't charge outrageously. Any suggestions? Thanks.

www.weldtecdesigns.com and talk to Jeremy. He does a good job real fast, but he charges $75 to do it.

I second Tanto. Jeremy is the way to go. That guy is a robot. He did all the welding for my SAS. Before I knew about Weldtec I had the Truckshop in Mirimar Rd weld on my sliders, they also charged $75.

THanks. I will give him a call, but that is not cheap, compared to what I hear it should cost ($30-50). How did truckshop do the job, since I live in Mira Mesa and Miramar would be perfect?

It cost me $50 to get my muffler welded on. This may be a lot but it is the going rate if you don't have a hook-up.

I had my Stubbs welded at Hansen Machine in Santee $80 last year, they had to weld the scab plates two. Two super nice old guys and a three leg dog. ha Can't bet that!! I looked throught their photo album of custom welding jobs while they did my truck. Go to them.

No doubt that Jeremy is one of the most skilled welders in SD area. I think he is going a differant route though with his business. He is building top notch full tube sand rails and prerunners from scratch. Last time I was there he was super busy and it seemed like the work I had him doing was more of a distraction from his main income. Maybe that is why he charged me $120 to raise my sliders 1". He only charged $60 to weld them on originally and he did not cut them off he just notched the out rigger tubes and pushed them up which is perfectly fine but not super labor intensive IMO.
It is super cool to see his business take off like it has. Infact on our way back from Superstition this last time we saw a Pro buggy that had his Co logo on it as the fabricator! Awsome
I think the guy that is doing Marc's SAS welding may be up for some of this work I will call him and ask.

Thanks everybody for the help. I just got the sliders welded at Truckshop. Took them an hour, $77 bucks, during my lunch break, and out all of the places I called they could get it done the quickest. I am leaving for Tecate area tomorrow and wanted to get that put on today. Will post some pictures after I come back. Thanks again.
