i think it's common knowlege that the 8274 is the fastest 8000# winch on the market, but here's a little tidbit of info i noticed today. it's only the fastest winch when rated with zero load. under a 8000# load, even the m8000 has a faster pull speed and a higher horsepower motor as well.

Both are very good winches. The 8274 if $$$$ is no object, the M8000 if on a budget.
