Tundra Coil Question
#5
That's the way I would like to lift my 4runner. I read the threads about which springs to use, but it remains confusing what matches what exactly. It's probably just me.
I wouldn't mind people posting their front/rear spring/shock combos, and how succesfull it is for levelling the 4runner.

alright, this Tundra/OME has been beaten to DEATH. all the info is in the thread as well as other variations on what works. I know b/c I have read and contributed.
To do it RIGHT. Tundra springs up front/ OME nitros at all 4 corners. Rear OME springs. If you want an additional 1/2" of lift up front, add Ander Engineering Top Out spacer w/ some longer studs from Wheelers. You could run bilsteins or stock springs, BUT WHY???
if $$$ is an issue, than I would wait until you have all the moeny to lift the truck proprerly. I hate taking things apart multiple times for no reason. the time and effort used to install Tundra springs w/ no other new equipment seems wasteful. Wait until you have the all the parts OR what is the point???? you won't get the same ride/setup, which is why people have switched. You might get some marginal increase in ride quality and height, but like I said why bother.....
OME springs need OME shocks. you can run others, but it is not what they were designed for. Furthermore, it is more than just springs and shocks. depending on height there are other factors that need to be considered
differential, panhard bar, brake lines, bumpstomps.

I know it has been discussed so many times. Those situations sometimes seem to make it more confusing as time goes by. I think I will stick with Andy's suggestions and try that setup in the not too distant future
