Trans question

Do any of you guys use an auto trans shift kit in your Toy? I used to have one in my Olds hot rod years ago, which firmed up the shifts. I have a 91 4Runner, with a V6 auto trans, and just wondering if a shift kit is a worthwhile modification. Greg

We talk about them here as "valve body upgrades". Searching on that will get you a lot of hits.

In short, they're very worthwhile if you a) have more than stock power - i.e, a supercharger; b) do towing in the moutains; c) just want a stronger shift.

There're basically two people doing the work on our trucks and they're both on the east coast of the US.

One of the guys ("John", the owner of IPT) is here as "transdude". You can find his site here: http://importperformancetrans.com/
