Toyota E-Locker in a 92?

The whole 4Runner thing is new to me.

I looked in the locker FAQ and couldn't find an answer.

Can a Toyota E-Locker third member from a TRD truck be fitted into the existing axle housing of a '92 4Runner without much trouble? When did E-Lockers come available in the trucks? Have they ever been available in 4Runners?

Would it just be easier to put a complete E-Locked rear axle in?

Thanks,
Dave

Technically, it MIGHT involve welding - not always.
