I hope I'm in the right section for this post.

Right now I have BF Goodrich all terrain t/a ko's on the rear, and some highway tires on the front. tire rack has them for $103 a piece. Should I just get 2 more for the front? Cause Ill be driving this truck during the winter, and I want to make sure they are good on snow/ice.

how many miles do you have on the other 2 bfg's? maybe replacing all 4 would be a better option.

 

If you're going to replace two of them for better snow traction, why wouldn't you replace all 4? There are a bunch of tire reviews on my website, similar to what tirerack does... but most of mine were written by toyota owners who do at least some occasional wheeling.

 

Are these stock sized tires we're talking about? If so, then you won't find a better snow & ice tire than Nokian Hakkapeliitta. They don't come bigger than 31x10.5 & comparable P-metric, however. I ran a set for five winters, and sold them to a guy who's going into his second winter on them.

Will you be studding them?

I'm now running Cooper Discoverer STs that I bought one-season used. They're studded and have had the middle sections siped. For a 35x12.5 I thought they held the road quite well.

edit- I would also replace all four if the best ones of your current set have more than, say, 25 to 30k on them.

 

I have no idea how many miles the tires have on them, but they seem to be in good shape. Heck I dont even know how many miles are on the truck period lol

 

if I were you I'd get 4 larger new tires... but if you want the same size and the others aren't in bad shape, two new ones in the front would be nice too

the bfg's are good in the snow but with all those muddin pics you've posted, the mud terrains could be tempting,.
