Spring and shock valving question

Long story short, recently did an F-150 Spring swap on my 01 tacoma.

Now, to get the most out of these springs without trial and error, I'm wondering what kind of shock to use. Valving, type of shock, rebound, compression, all that stuff. So far all I've done is argue with myself and read stuff online.

The spring are new from general spring.com. 1980-96 3+1, 1350lbs rating, (fairly soft I thought). Current shocks are (junk) came with the 3'' rough country lift 2 years ago.

My thoughts:

The F-150 springs flex way better, compress with a load way softer, but absorb bumps much harder. ( I know, doesn't make sense) If there softer springs then they should behave as such right? Im hoping that the shocks are to blame.

They seem to be much stiffer behaving springs, (higher spring rate). Do I want a light shock absorber? Soft springs need more dampening then hard springs, over dampening hard spring can make for even harder ride.

My goal here is to have it handle small bumps, like washboards as I'm on gravel roads a lot. Thats were the problem is most noticeable. On road their great, got my 3'' lift without blocks or al's, and they look sexy to.

And no the air bags are at zero psi, so their not the problem. But the load range E toyos do not help the matter. And the billy's n the picture are not whats on their now, those were a test fit.
And I have removed the overload leaf, seemed to help just a tad.

Input is greatly appreciated on this issue
