Question Smitty Bilt Bumpers are they worth a ˟˟˟˟˟?

Looking into a new rear bumper and know a guy who wants to get rid of a smitty bilt double tube rear bumper, wondering what your opinions are about duribility compared to a rock bumper. Would the SB take the abuse or not.
Thanks Blaine

its tougher than stock and looks decent but is not up to the task of being an actual rock crawling bumper

I have had a rear Smitty on my truck for about 14 years. It's definitely not as nice as the newer rock crawl bumpers, but it's ok. It's strong enough to hold up in wrecks (I've been rear ended with it before). And, you can use it as a high lift jack point. The coating that comes on them is horrible, so I would recommend stripping and repainting it. It all depends on what you want to do with it.
