Currently have trail gear springs on my runner, but this past year ive grown tired of being up in the air and have gotten a few tickets for being "too tall" from police. I've decided that I would really like to lower back down and cut my tires too fit depending on how it sits.
So has used a "stock" spring out of another vehicle that fit in place of front and rear trail gear springs???
Trail gears springs are so ridiculous in price I'm not spend $1,000 on 3" springs to experiment with pulling leafs out of the pack to get lower. Lol and I really do not wanna go cutting and welding new mounts on the frame again. Bolt on replacement is the dream key word here
Have you pulled springs from your existing spring packs to get it lower?
As long as your centering bolt is the same measurements you should be fine swapping to another spring
Are you too tall for violating bumper height laws or no mud flaps?
On the rear I pulled the 1st and 3rd spring out which gave me a lower frame heigth by 1"-1 /1/2" I think it was when I measured. And a much nicer ride as in my opinion they are too stiff. Can't go any more as it sits perfectly level front to back.
And both, they've gotten me for frame height and no mud flaps. In Maryland they go by frame not bumper
