Rear locker mod

Saw a show where they cut a gray wire and grounded it making you be able to use the locker in a TRD whenever.. It said it tricks the computer into thinking it's in 4 lo all the time.. Is that bad? Would it affect every day driving?

I don't see the problem. I frequently lock the rear without being in 4wd. But like Tuef mention you really don't need it on the road.

Shoot I've got a twin stick in the rear case and have even forgotten to put in in 4wd in low range. My 4wd idiot light doesn't work. Some hiker walked up and says I think you 4wd is broke only rear wheels are spinning. I says ooops....

I know but if I did it I would be able to lock it up in 2wd and do some badass doughnuts and stuff in the dirt
