Couldnt find anything from old threads, but I have an 81 pickup 4x4. No power steering. dirtoyboy Just sent me a power steering box. Thing is in great shape, cleaned an everything, great guy to deal with. Question is, Doesnt look like the have the same bolt holes, So am I gonna have to weld this sucker in?

Did he send you one from an IFS for Crossover steering? If not, you should prolly be running crossover anyways. That J-arm steering doesn't hold up very well offroad.

Good point. Getting this thing out ticked me off. Just got done pulling the old box out. When my breaker bar or 1/2 in impact doesnt move the bolts, gotta get the heat wrench out. But one bolt is under the box and comes out at the same time, no room to get it, had to take my radiator out. More work than I wanted to do today

So....Just got eating lunch and went back outside, and I realized Im a freaking moron. I had hosed down the area of the box, but there was enough mud caked on that It hid the 4 bolts for the box. I just took off the hole plate. The new box will mount right up. That was a good waste of a couple hours. o well

That would help. I Was out to late last night. Just got done driving the truck. I love being able to turn with one hand. The plus is I cleaned my radiator while it was out with some coil cleaner, sucker was clogged. Dropped running temp by 15 degrees
