run it with out the longs first. Most of us tried it for a while and eventually went with longs. but I dont know what you have in mind for this, and if you say other guys are doing what you plan to do and arent breaking on stock parts, than go for it. Worst case? you blow up some worthless stock birfs and THEN drop 650 on longfields.

I was as carefull as I could possibly be (with an auto and single case no less) and I would blow a birf every other trip (stockers and "profields"). But it was almost always in the rocks.

Yeah, all i'll be doin with it is playin in mud, im not into all that rock stuff lol. To each his own. and before i put the motor in i freshin'd it up, i threw on a quadrajunk carb on it and its shot so ill be thumbin thru the summit mag for a new one. but b4 the carb messed up it ran like a scalded dawg. Plus im gonna get a set of headers for it and run
3" flow 40's under it. I already ordered the longs for it, but i wont put them in until i have to. the yota is just sittin in the yard, i still have a long way to go b4 she's ready for her maidin voyage lol

NOTE: do NOT carry the 30 spline Longs as spares. They often take considerable grinding to get them to fit in the knuckles!
