My transfer case is leaking pretty bad...

problem is, i can't tell from where. It all kind of drips down to a gathering point by my drain plug and drips from there, so finding the source of the leak isn't as easy as it should be. any tips for finding leaks, or info regarding common toyota transfer case leaks?

the transfer case is on the w56 transmission btw, 88 toy pickup 22re

The usual spot for leaks is one of the output seals. Try cleaning it and see if you can find the leak, or I know you can get fluorescent dye for engine oil leaks, maybe you can try that for the t-case. You add it to the oil and is glows under uv light.

And the plus side is you finally find a use for that black light you had in your room back in the 80s
