Max side angle before I roll?

Mine was being a dumda$$ and cutting doughnuts in a field going way too fast in 4 wheel drive.
from wheels to roof in .002. It happened so fast i didn't even know what had happened. The only thing that got damaged was the roof and front glass. All the other glass was okay. The hood didn't even get touched. the passenger side got damaged when we tried to flip the truck back over and it was pulled a little way before we got it flipped back over.

Pretty simple really.
1. Install the inclometer
2. Drive truck so that it begins to tip.
3. Drive very slowly, watching your inclometer closely.
4. Once it tips over, if you've been watching closely, you will be able to put a mark on the gauge and then you'll know.
5. Take the truck into the body shop and get it fixed.
Problem solved!

ive always wanted a inclinometer, but only for the bling factor, when im crawling i chose lines i know my truck will make to the gauge seems uncesasary. also if your going to tippy its not always slow, sometimes it happens in .2 seconds. in the pic attached i would have rolled but a tree stopped me from goin over. and this happend in.2 seconds.

I think i'll get one. I took my stock 4runner up a steep rocky climb over the weekend, got to a point where I wasnt confident (deep ruts with easy high center if i lost any traction) and had to back down a bit and turn around. To turn around I had to reverse up a grassy hill with driver side downhill. I puckered a bit, but im sure a more experienced wheeler would have known it was fine. So I need it till my pucker point is closer to what the truck can actually handle. Im sure I wasnt even at 15 degrees now that I think about it lol.

I use my clino frequently. It's more information on top of what my other senses are taking in and I find it a good way to reality check. I've had many times when I was getting uncomfortable only to see my clino at a mere 20 degrees and other times when I'm not worried and I see my clino pushing 40°. How much the rig is nose up or down and how much a corner is being loaded is a big variable so if any of you are new to wheeling, know that you can go off camber more so if you are loading two wheels equally. Loading a corner is normally more risky because the single spring compresses more with the focused weight.
If you are still shopping around for a clino also note that the cool looking clinos like the ones modeled after the 1st gen 4runners can be less accurate. They are gear driven and are more prone to sticking a few degrees before showing a change in readings. The bubble or ball bearing in oil clinos are more accurate.

I have this one. It was cheap and it works fine. I'm not sure about the best one out there but this was the best bang for the buck that I could find. It also mounted well to my sunglasses holder.
