Marlin Sliders are HERE!
I ordered these on Monday and they arrived today. They are really "beefy" and alot better than I expected. I cannot believe they reduced the price on these to move them, it would have cost me just as much, if not more just for the metal!
After looking closely and taking measurements, they will fit very nicely under the 4runner. So, after a visit to the Spirits store,
I will be welding these on in the next few days. I am going to drill some mounting plates for added support, before mounting the sliders. Just for added support....
Now I just need to convince the wife that we REALLY need bumpers to match!!

I'm not sure how far from the frame rail they should be mounted and what angle the slider should make to the legs. I know there needs to be sufficient space between the slider and the door when it opens . . . . and sufficient space between the slider and the pinch weld (thanks Wabbit) . . . but beyond that I'm wondering about the rest including where to mount the legs along the slider and whether the three legs are really enough. Hmmm . . . then there's the scab plate (thanks again Wabbit) and gusset issues to tackle and how to deal with the front mount relative to the frame angling inward forward of the crossmember.
They aren't there to look pretty, right? :bounce2:

I don't have pics cause their just sitting in the back of the truck.....looking like tube steel. I gotta find somewhere else to do the welding because the guy I was gonn have do it has two broken wrists......bah, just my luck. what price am I expecting to pay for this? If its more than what they cost to buy I'm gonna be PISSED.

I got my sliders last Friday and installed them the next day. I mounted them as high as possible by cutting the body rails where the bars went through. Cut the mid and rear bars to 6-3/8" and the front to 9-3/8" with a slight angle.
