never tried marlin, but I am happy with allpro.

I have heard terrible things about Allpro's serviced.

I believe as long as you call them, there service is quick. There email is rarely checked.
During install of thier parking brake kit I called and got immeditae help. When I figured out that one bolt was too short, I got lazy and emailed them. It took two weeks to hear back about it. But in all fairness, when they did get back to me they sent the right bolt. Had I called it would have come sooner. Me bad.

Anyway, I can't say marlin's bad, but that's another positive note for allpro.

I've spent a lot of money with both in years past - about 6G total.

When I spent my $$$, the companies offered different products - you really didn't have a choice. Nowadays they have a similar product lineup with the edge going to Marlin.

Of the two, IMO, you will get better service from Marlin Crawler. Marlin is Da'Man on Toy stuff, with out his dual cases we'd be still limited to dunes and dirt. He also supports our sport better than All Pro, so I'd give him my business if I had it to do again.

I've also had the opportunity to meet and wheel with many of the Marlin crew, including spending a full day w/ Marlin on Outer Limits @ the Hammers. You won't find a nicer, approachable guy than Marlin. I've also wheeled with Chris Geiger here in AZ at AZ on the Rocks (the real one held by the BTG crew at Table Mesa ) He is also a real nice guy to meet.

The one Allpro sells is an Advanced Adapters product, that is Marlin's older MC05 design. The improved MC07 uses a double roller bearing, making it much stronger. From personal experience, I'd buy from the man himself......

Just a bit of insight, Marlin created the dual case adaptor and had an agreement with Advanced Adaptors to produce them for him, I'm not sure on all the details, but some how Marlin gave up the exclusive rights to the product. So in reality your using Marlin's product.

Marlin's new 6 stud high steer arms, combined with the soon to be released knuckles are far superior to anything on the market, and they stll bolt up to the 4 stud one's, so you can slowly upgrade.

I have parts from both all over my rig and would recommend either highly, it just depends on the particular part as to which I would buy from.

I don't think you will go wrong using either.

jon bundrant is the reason i wheel. I got an 86runner when I was 16 and had no idea people did anything with these until I saw red nub in ultimate adventure 00. HOWEVER, it kills me to say that the general consencious is marlin is better. (I hope bundrant doesnt read this)

The important fact is they both are the best of the best, and for MOST people thats all they need to know!!

im not concerned service as much when it comes to allpro because i would go to their store directly and not have it shipped because i live close to them and my dad has done bussiness with them and said theyre great. so i think the service is due to their poor shipping correct?

also what about the 4 inch suspension lift from the two companies? ive heard that the allpro are stiff and sit higher than 4 inches. whats youre guys imput?

Steering is one place you definately dont want to skimp on. Go with Marlin's billet arms.

whats the difference between type 1 and type 2?

but nevermind i figured it out. one uses the stock ifs pitman arm and the other kit has a marlin pitman arm included. is that the only difference?

yep, that should really be the only difference.

i have a feeling my money will be going to marlin when hysteer time comes around. he's taken time to answer my little questions when nobody else could/would help me. his service is the best out there

yeh i think im going to give my business to marlin for most of my sas.

what drive shaft have you guys used or recomend i use. my truck is my daily driver so i am going to be going at high speeds so keep that in mind. i was thinking about using the marlin 8" slip drive shaft because it seems simple and gives me the travel i need. i dont need any high flex drive shafts or anything like that. just something simple and similar to the stock drive shaft.
