Lunchbox locker options for a 2000 Taco

Okay, so I'm an XJ guy over from the Jeep boards and I have got to say, that from all my searching on this site, that you folks are pretty darn polite, so good on ya!

Now, on to my question/situation: I just picked up a 2wd, non e-locked, V6 2000 Taco axle. I got this axle due to the fact that it was cheap($150), better clearance than a 44, stroner too, and was the correct BP. I still need to change the gears to 4.56s, weld the correct mounts on, and finally, add a locker.

Since my goal is to keep this build on the cheap and cheap, I do not want to go with an ARB or Detroit. I have been searching here, and other sites, and have found that LockRights and Aussies are available for the axle mentioned above.

So, are my findings correct? Do the various places sell a LR or Aussie for a 2wd, V6, non e-locked 2000 Taco axle?

Thanks for the help.

If it is the same 8.4 ring gear as the 4wd Tacos then yes lockright or Aussie should work.

Same as a 4x4, non e-locked Taco.

make sure you are getting the right locker though... if it was e-lock equipped, or trd, then it has the toyta 8" axle and not the 8.4" that you have...

So this axle came out of a Prerunner then, right?
If so and if you decide to go with a Lockrite, you need part #1615. I put one in the rear of my 2wd (Prerunner) Taco last summer.

No, this came out of a non prerunner, non e-locked 2wd V6. Just a plane jane Taco.

It doesnt much matter though. As long as the locker is for a non e-locked version, I'll be fine. I'll check on the PN though, so thank you.
